Cancellation of the 44. Carlton International Youth Tournament of BC Victoria

As everyone knows, the coronavirus is unpredictable. This uncertainty overshadows the organization of the tournament for us too. Unfortunately, after the update from the Dutch government on the corona situation on December 14 and the developments about the new covid variant in the Netherlands and other European countries, we have come to the conclusion that it is not possible to run the tournament in a safe and responsible manner. This decision is made in together with the Dutch badminton association and badminton Europe.
A number of players and groups have already paid us the registration fee via bank transfer. Of course we will refund the payments made in the coming days.
If you have any questions, you can always contact us at

On behalf of all members of BC Victoria and the organizing committee, we wish everyone a merry Christmas, a happy and healthy new year and we hope to see you again in Hoensbroek in 2022.

Tournament Managers

Dear players, coaches and parents

In these uncertain times we want to inform you as best as possible. At this point, our goal is still to run the tournament in a safe and responsible manner.

Tonight we will receive an update from our government about the applicable corona measures and the prospects for the coming period. For tomorrow (December 15), the full organization committee has scheduled a meeting to discuss the government update. After this we will inform you further about the steps we are going to take.

On behalf of the organizing committee,
Jeroen Stalman

entry list ciyt 2021 U17

we proudly present the entry list of the CIYT 2021 U17 tournament.

The the entry list can be found via the following link.

For selecting the players/pairs the BEC European U17 Ranking from 29/11/21 has been used.

Please be informed that following the re-start of U17 Circuit tournaments in Europe, the BEC European U17 ranking will be updated as below:

Players will receive points for their participation in U17 Circuit tournaments but the ranking will be rolled onwards without dropping off past weeks/tournaments at this time so that players who were unable to travel and compete will not be unduly penalized, so effectively becoming a ranking of more than 52 weeks. This way of updating the ranking was decided in order to follow the method used by the BWF to update the BWF Junior Rankings (announced on 06/08/2020). The ranking will be updated as described above until it can be unfrozen.
